The Faculty of Linguistics, National Technical University of Ukraine “Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute” invites those who have completed general secondary education to pursue a bachelor’s degree

IN SPECIALTY 035 PHILOLOGY

EDUCATIONAL PROGRAMS:

035.041 Germanic Languages and Literatures (Including Translation), Primary – English (full-time and part-time forms of study)

035.043Germanic Languages and Literatures (Including Translation), Primary –German (the full-time form of study)

035.055Romance Languages and Literatures (translation included), the Primary –French (the full-time form of study)

Completion of the National Multi-Subject Test (NMT) and writing a motivation letter are mandatory. Admission to the study programmes can also be based on the results of the 2022 NMT certificate or 2020 and 2021 ZNO certificates).

NMT is a computer-based online test consisting of three blocks:

The Ukrainian language

Maths

The optional subject:

A Foreign Language (English, German, French, Spanish), History of Ukraine, Chemistry, Physics, or Biology

THUS

to be admitted to the undergraduate programme for obtaining a bachelor’s degree in the specialty 035 Philology on the basis of a complete general secondary education, one needs:

• in case of being funded by the state budget: NMT (ZNO) + motivation letter
• in case of individual and/or legal entities funds (contract): NMT (ZNO) + motivation letter

Education at this educational level lasts for 4 years.

The competitive score is calculated according to the following formula:

КБ = (К1*П1+К2*П2+К3*П3)/(К1+К2+К3)

where K1, K2, K3 are the coefficients, the sum of the coefficients may not equal 1, so the result is calculated by this sum.

П1, П2, П3 – the grades gained from the relevant subjects of the NMT test

It is also worth paying ATTENTION to the following:

The results of the 2020-2021 ZNO tests in subjects relevant to the NMT 2022 or NMT 2023 tests can be calculated at the request of the applicant instead of the results of the 2023 NMT test, providing the ZNO – NMT results difference does not exceed 15 points. However, in this case the coefficients applied when calculating the score will also be the ones from previous years.

The minimum competitive entrance score for the admission under the state budget funding is 130.

The minimum competitive entrance score for the admission under individuals and/or legal entities funding is 100.

The applicants having a competitive entrance score of less than 130 points are not allowed to participate in the competitive selection for studying at a bachelor’s degree programme, except for cases specified in the Admission Procedure and Admission Rules.

The applicants will be able to register an electronic office starting from July 1, and submit applications from July 19 to July 31.

The applicants to be funded by the state budget can submit up to 5 applications with an indication of priority – from the highest (1) to the lowest (5) of their own choice. The applicants to be funded by individuals and/or legal entities can submit up to 15 applications.

In general, one person can submit a total of 20 applications for all types of admission and for all forms of education. All applications submitted for the state funding are automatically included in the competitive entrance base on the contract funding.

Recommendation for the enrolment to study under the state funding will be announced on August 5, and by August 8, originals of the documents are to be submitted in person or with the help of a qualified electronic signature in the applicant’s office.
