If you wish to pursue your studies after receiving a bachelor’s or master’s degree and consider getting a master’s degree in 035 Philology (II^nd educational level), you are welcome to enter the master’s school at the Faculty of Linguistics, National Technical University of Ukraine “Kyiv Polytechnic Institute named after Ihor Sikorsky”

It is possible to obtain this level of higher education (master’s level) at the Faculty of Linguistics through mastering three educational programs:

Germanic Languages and Literatures (Including Translation), Primary – English (full-time and part-time forms of study)

Germanic Languages and Literatures (Including Translation), Primary –German (the full-time form of study)

Romance Languages and Literatures (translation included), the Primary –French (the full-time form of study)

If you are entering the master’s programme to be funded by the state budget or at the expense of individuals and/or legal entities, you must pass the single entrance exam (the so-called EVI), consisting this year of two parts, namely: a foreign language of the applicant’s choice (English, German, French or Spanish) and the test of general educational competence (TGEC) to check the required level of knowledge in critical, analytical and logical thinking (you can try the test HERE).

To take the EVI test it is necessary to register from May 8, 2023 to May 31, 2023 (by 6 p.m.) as well as to complete the test from June 26 to July 18, 2023.

To enter this specialty, besides the EVI test, the applicants must also pass a professional entrance exam and submit a motivation letter to be considered by the examination board.

THEREFORE, after completing the EVI test, for admission the applicant needs:

in case of being funded by the state budget: a professional entrance test + motivation letter;
in case of individual and/or legal entities funds: a professional entrance test + motivation letter.

The minimum entrance score for the admission of state funding is 130.

The minimum entrance score for the admission of individual’s and/or legal entities’ funding is 100.

KEY DATES FOR THE 2023 ENTRY CAMPAIGN

For competitive selection on the basis of a bachelor’s degree, master’s degree (educational and qualification level of a specialist), the entrance score is calculated according to the following formula:

КБ = 0,2*П1+0,2*П2+0,6*П3,

where П1 is the score of the general educational competence test of the EVI,

П2 is the score of the EVI foreign language test,

П3 is the score of the professional exam.
