International Office

The office was created to concentrate information flows in the field of international activities, preparation of projects and proposals of the faculty departments for international programs, and faculty participation in the work of international organizations, foundations, and competitions in the context of the decision of the Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute of 15.02.2007 ( https://kpi.ua/strategy ). The International Office promotes the internationalization of educational programs and scientific schools, which is one of the priority areas of development according to the Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute Strategy for 2020-2025 (https://kpi.ua/strategy).
The office includes a group of project managers including representatives of all departments of the faculty. Today, the main activities of the International Office include establishing international relations between FL and foreign universities and organizations, developing academic mobility programs for students, double degree programs, and collaborating with scientists from different countries.

With the assistance of the International Office, students and academic staff have the opportunity to study and undergo internships at partner institutions, collaborate with foreign colleagues on international interdisciplinary projects, teach at foreign educational institutions under exchange programmes, and participate in international conferences and congresses. An example is the telecommunications project “Sustainable Development”, implemented in cooperation with the Faculty of Applied Linguistics of the Polytechnic University of Valencia (Spain) in February-May 2020 (FL) and in 2021 with the involvement of the FL and ICF departments. Another important project is the ENHANCE project with the Warsaw University of Technology (2022), aimed at strengthening the language training of university students, and summer schools organised in cooperation with the Faculty of English at the Adam Mickiewicz University (2023) contributed to strengthening the scientific and methodological cooperation of the faculties, as well as international student interaction. Active cooperation, research, joint conferences, and project applications are ongoing with the Polytechnic University of Valencia and the University of Granada (Spain), Dumlupinar University of Kütahya (Turkey), and others.
With the assistance of the Academic Mobility Office of Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute, faculty members and students are actively involved in ERASMUS+ and other exchange programmes, establishing professional interaction with colleagues from universities in countries such as Austria, Belgium, the Netherlands, Germany, France, Poland, Latvia, Italy, Ireland, and the United Kingdom. The Office actively involves students and teachers in international events at the university and state levels, cooperates with the Academic Mobility Department of Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute, and promotes the development of student all-Ukrainian academic mobility.
